THE CONCEPT

Imagine if you had the resources to do your weekly long run or easy training run anywhere on earth. Would you connect points on the Golden Circle in Iceland? Take the scenic route down the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Island? Or simply seek solitude in Zion National Park? Where would you tie your laces? And what story would those miles tell?

"DEVELOP THE LONGRUN"

The final send-of by legendary coach Steve Spence as his athletes embark on their weekly journey to find fitness.

Within any reputable distance training plan, it is often noted that the long run is the staple of that plan. Through decades of research, we now know the laundry list of physiological benefits attributed to this particular training run.

LongRunLactic is a concept devoted to cultivating, documenting, and curating the beauty of finding fitness through not only long runs but many training bouts and documenting the culture of the sport. One's journey to develop fitness often extends far beyond the reach of miles logged and weights lifted. There is a defined culture within growth. As we transition away from the notion of "what we know" and into a period of "becoming" we often take for granted the array of personal traits and emotional additives that come with it. Through exposure of where we've come from we develop an understanding of what can be.

From the infancy of our first steps to the conquest of a race won, we all have a story to tell. Through the Narrows of Zion and up the rocky ranges of the Dolomites, LongRunLactic is dedicated to sharing the stories and cultivating the culture of those letting the lactic build.

Let it build. Let it breathe.
